Histotechnologist - Pathology Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Histotechnologist to join our team at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. As a Histotechnologist, you will play a critical role in preparing human tissue for pathologists' examination by cutting, staining, and mounting tissue following established standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare human tissue for pathologists' examination by cutting, staining, and mounting tissue.
- Follow established standards and practices to ensure high-quality tissue preparation.
- Work under minimal supervision to maintain a high level of productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- College coursework at a passing grade or higher from an accredited College or University with a minimum of 90 quarter units (60 semester units) in biology and 18 quarter units (12 semester units) in chemistry.
- National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire
- 3 months Experience in a laboratory setting
- Completion or enrollment in a NACCLS accredited histotechnician program
