Job Summary

RINCON AMBULATORY SURGERY CENTER is seeking a skilled Radiology Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing x-ray equipment, gathering supplies, and supporting the philosophy, objectives, and goals of our surgery center.

Key Responsibilities
  • X-Ray Equipment Preparation: Demonstrate the ability to use X-Ray equipment, including calibration and troubleshooting, and respect and use equipment appropriately.
  • Imaging Support: Follow instructions from physicians regarding which area of the patient's body needs imaging.
  • Infection Control: Follow established infection control policies and procedures.
  • Radiation Safety: Follow correct techniques and procedures, such as patient and staff shielding, to prevent unnecessary radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Patient Care: Respect patients' rights and support patient care for the population served.
  • Radiograph Evaluation: Evaluate radiographs for technical quality and store pictures according to facility policy and guidelines.
  • Accountability: Perform actions that demonstrate accountability.
  • Work Environment: Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Professional Development: Enhance professional growth and development through participation in various programs, in-services, workshops, and meetings, and maintain current clinical skills and competencies.

Qualifications
  • Certification: Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited school of Radiology program.
  • BLS Training: Proof of current BLS training/education (or ability to obtain within 3 months of hire).
  • Communication Skills: Competence in oral and written communication.
  • Physical Mobility: Intermittent and prolonged physical mobility/activity, including walking, standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 pounds, pulling, and pushing of carts, equipment, etc.
  • Computer Skills: Computer skills.
