About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic II to join our team at Fleet Services by Cox Automotive. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing certified DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on a variety of truck equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform minor adjustments and repairs on electrical, brake, and cooling systems, as well as starters, alternators, and engine electronics.
  • Diagnose and repair issues with power steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • Document work performed, parts used, and findings on repair orders using company-issued devices and proprietary applications.
  • Communicate with management, team members, and dispatch via Microsoft Office products and other communication methods.
  • Work independently to manage parts inventory and equipment on company-issued service trucks.
  • Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures, and maintain a culture of safety and compliance.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and meet Cox Automotive Mobility minimum driving qualification standards.
  • Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one prior to employment or within 72 hours of hire.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Power Technician on medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences.
