Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Risk Services Senior Consultant to join our team at Elliott Davis. As a key member of our SOC Reporting & HITRUST team, you will be responsible for leading controls-related engagements, including System and Organization Control (SOC) attestation engagements and HITRUST assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, direct, oversee, and review SOC 1, SOC 2, and HITRUST assessments, prioritizing engagement tasks, including supervising tests of business process and IT general controls, communicating engagement progress to clients and the engagement team, reviewing report drafts, and assisting with presenting engagement results to clients
  • Proactively interact with clients to gather information and help identify process improvement opportunities, and prepare necessary documentation to communicate identified improvement opportunities to the engagement team and clients
  • Oversee the engagement schedule and deliverable deadlines for multiple, concurrent engagements
  • Develop strong relationships with clients through a comprehensive understanding of clients' operations, and communicate client expectations, control exceptions, or engagement issues to the engagement team and SOC Reporting & HITRUST team leader in a timely manner
  • Oversee the day-to-day aspects of multiple, concurrent engagements, supervise detailed tests of business process and IT general controls, review engagement work papers, manage engagement economics including budgeted hours and realization, assign and prioritize engagement tasks, communicate engagement progress to the engagement team and SOC Reporting & HITRUST team leader, and proactively communicate and resolve issues with the engagement team
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or information technology (Master's degree preferred)
  • Two to four years of relevant experience with a regional or national public accounting firm
  • One or more of the following certifications/licenses (obtained or in progress): CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, or CISM
  • Experience executing SOC 1, SOC 2, or HITRUST assessments, or executing internal audits of information systems and technology infrastructure
