Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Professor of Fine Arts to teach drawing courses at Mt. San Antonio College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in fine arts and the ability to teach basic and intermediate drawing concepts, methods, and skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach drawing courses, including Beginning Drawing, Intermediate Drawing, and Perspective Drawing
  • Develop and implement curriculum that integrates direct observation, historical examples, industry standards, design concepts, materials, and techniques
  • Work with faculty and laboratory technicians to maintain facilities and equipment
  • Remain current in the field through personal practice, technological advances, and professional development opportunities
  • Participate in learning outcome development and assessments
  • Perform related duties as assigned, including timely compliance with clerical and administrative responsibilities and college, division, and department policies
Requirements
  • Master's degree in fine arts, art, or art history, or a related field
  • Commitment to the community college goals and objectives of providing quality programs and services for students with diverse abilities and interests
  • Personal qualities to work effectively and sensitively in a multicultural environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching drawing courses
  • Strong background in fine arts
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
