Pediatric Ophthalmology Section Chief

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pediatric ophthalmologist to lead our section as Section Chief. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in healthcare leadership and program development, with a focus on pediatric ophthalmology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain effective education programs in pediatric ophthalmology for medical students and residents.
- Stimulate and nurture scholarly activity within the division and strengthen current research portfolio.
- Expand clinical service program to meet regional needs.
- Develop a vision for expansion and growth of current clinical services.
- Provide leadership to support the faculty in the division of ophthalmology to achieve excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research.
Requirements:
- MD/DO or compatible degree international medical degree.
- 3 years ophthalmology residency and 1-year AAPOS approved pediatric ophthalmology fellowship.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology.
- Eligible for licensure in Illinois.
- Clinical experience in the field of pediatric ophthalmology.
- Experience in teaching medical students and residents in the area of pediatric ophthalmology.
