Job Summary

The Campus Registrar is a key member of the academic team at Galen College of Nursing, responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising the development and operations of the Academic Records area. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Student Services: Provide exceptional support to students, ensuring their academic records are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Academic Records Management: Maintain the integrity, security, and accuracy of student academic records, including registration, grades, attendance, and disciplinary actions.
  • Supervision and Training: Select, train, evaluate, schedule, and supervise campus Academic Records staff to ensure department goals are met.
  • Enrollment Management: Verify that students meet all enrollment/admission requirements, including background checks and admission test thresholds.
  • Graduate Records Processing: Process graduate records to facilitate inclusion in graduation ceremonies and ensure students can sit for NCLEX with state boards of nursing.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide reports and analysis to Academic Leadership on student enrollment, registration, attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
  • Communication and Feedback: Relay information, comments, and complaints from students to the campus, and coordinate improvements to alleviate areas of concern.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a business-related field required; three years of experience in a college or academic setting preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of current student systems, college catalog, policies, and procedures; ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and the public.
