Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital in Hiram, GA. As an Echo Tech, you will be responsible for performing cardiac imaging procedures, including adult, pediatric, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. You will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and ensure the highest quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform cardiac imaging procedures, including echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and stress echocardiograms.
  • Measure and calculate cardiac parameters according to laboratory protocol.
  • Provide written or oral summaries of preliminary findings to interpreting physicians.
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being in the Echo department.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited program.
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Registration as a Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) and Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (ARMDM) certifications.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in echocardiography.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in vascular ultrasound.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
