Job Summary:

Valenti-Held Contractors/Developers is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repair work on a wide variety of equipment, including heavy machinery, engines, and hydraulic systems.


Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Diagnostics: Diagnose problems with equipment/engines, hydraulics, using a variety of methods and tools.
  • Parts Sourcing: Identify and source any parts required for repair or service.
  • Service Reporting: Complete a detailed service report to provide to Equipment manager or supervisor.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the heavy equipment industry or a related field.
  • Qualifications: Must have a valid driver's license, excellent written and oral communication and basic mathematical skills, and a good working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions, electrical and hydraulic systems and how they are integrated.
  • Education: High School diploma or further education in the following: Diesel technology, Heavy equipment repair, Welding technology.
  • Additional Requirements: Must be able to pass a background, physical, and drug screen, and prior experience using CAT ET or similar diagnostics tools.
