Job Summary:

Archway Physician Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients with orthopedic trauma, including fractures, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trauma Evaluation and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough assessments of patients with orthopedic trauma, including fractures, dislocations, and soft tissue injuries. Utilize imaging techniques such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs to accurately diagnose injuries and determine their severity.
  • Surgical Intervention: Perform emergency and elective surgical procedures to repair orthopedic trauma, including open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF), external fixation, and other surgical techniques. Address complex fractures, intra-articular injuries, and polytrauma cases with a focus on restoring function and promoting healing.
  • Non-operative Management: Develop and implement non-operative treatment strategies for orthopedic trauma, including casting, splinting, traction, and rehabilitation protocols. Prescribe medications, physical therapy, and assistive devices to manage pain, promote mobility, and facilitate recovery.
  • Trauma Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with trauma surgeons, emergency physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care to trauma patients. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and trauma meetings to discuss patient cases, review outcomes, and refine treatment protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school
  • Completion of residency training in orthopedic surgery
  • Board certification or eligibility in orthopedic surgery, with a subspecialty focus on trauma preferred
  • Valid medical license and credentials to practice as an orthopedic surgeon
  • Proven experience in the management of orthopedic trauma cases, including surgical and non-operative interventions
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development, education, and research in the field of trauma orthopedics
