Machinist Trainee

Fike Corporation, a leading manufacturer of pressure relief and explosion protection equipment, is seeking a Second Shift Machinist Trainee to join our team.

This entry-level role is focused on training and assisting operators in our production facility. As a Machinist Trainee, you will perform routine tasks, including cleaning machines, deburring parts, and operating saws.

• Operate saws and deliver materials to operators as needed.
• Operate lift devices, such as chain hoists, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
• Keep the material area clean and assist with cycle count needs.
• Conduct in-process inspections and prepare work order reporting.
• Adhere to safety practices, 6S, and follow Fike policies and ISO9001.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow instructions, work orders, and engineered drawings.
• Exposure to hand tools and measuring tools (calipers and gauges).
• Basic math and computer skills.

• Mechanical exposure or Vo-Tech training.
