About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Conductor Trainee. As a key member of our Transportation Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of freight across our vast network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage train operations, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Conduct daily inspections of trains and equipment, identifying and reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Operate track switches and derails to change train routing, ensuring efficient and safe train movement.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management, using verbal and non-verbal signals to convey important information.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment, adhering to strict safety protocols and regulations.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds, with frequent walking and standing.
  • Visual acuity to distinguish colors, judge speed and distance, and see at night.
  • Ability to work at various heights above the ground, including on locomotives and railcars.
