Pentec Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in providing home health infusion services in the Springfield, VA/Oxon Hill, MD area.

This part-time role offers the flexibility to create your own schedule to meet patient needs, while traveling within the local area.

As a Home Health Infusion RN, you will be responsible for meeting the needs of patients with implanted intrathecal drug delivery devices through comprehensive patient assessments, nursing interventions, pump refills, dose adjustments, and patient education.

Patient visits may be conducted outside the home, in hospitals, clinics, or other settings.

Pentec Health offers a comprehensive compensation and full benefits package, with an estimated hourly pay of $46.00. Actual pay will be based on qualifications, skills, and geographic location.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Nursing care reviewed and adapted to facilitate mutually agreed-upon goals
  • Policies, procedures, and standards of care guided by the nursing process and nurse practice standards through a shared governance model
  • Completion of all required documentation accurately and within the required timeframe, as well as communication with members of the multidisciplinary team
  • Responsibility for all elements of the nursing process, including assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation for each patient
  • Collaboration with the prescribing physician, patient, and caregivers as needed
  • Maintenance of patient records in compliance with state, HIPAA, and TJC requirements
  • Active participation in Shared Governance and integration of evidence-based research into practice

Requirements include:

  • 3 years of RN experience and 24/7 accountability as needed
  • Demonstration of the skill and ability required for completion of the Intrathecal Nurse Fellowship Orientation program
  • Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and be a resourceful, proactive problem solver
  • Exhibits accurate critical thinking and ability to quickly assess and react to changes in patient conditions
  • Ability to work in a remote home office and maintain productive, therapeutic boundaries
  • Demonstrates teamwork through the ability to work well and communicate effectively with members of the healthcare team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ICU/ER/OR and/or home care experience
  • Solid understanding of chronic pain/rehab principles

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, TRAININGS:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and ability to become licensed in another state if needed
  • CPR certification or ability to be certified

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • Intermediate computer skills with programs such as Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Adobe PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Knowledge of smartphones

Ability to perform CPR continuously in an emergency situation, according to American Heart/American Red Cross standards.
