Job Summary

East Cambridge Savings Bank is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Lending Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial Lending Division, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with commercial loan accounts, recommending lending policies, and rendering final credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial loan accounts to meet lending requirements and strategic goals.
  • Recommend Commercial Lending Department policies and upgrades to the Senior Commercial Lending Officer for approval.
  • Rend final credit decisions on Real Estate and Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customer loans within lending authority.
  • Develop new business relationships and services existing relationships to meet established production goals.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Business Development Officers as needed.
  • Compile financial information and present loans to the Loan Committee for approval.
  • Guide and assist in the development of support staff.
  • Develop and participate in marketing programs for the Bank's lending products and services for commercial real estate and C&I lending.
  • Offer assistance to customers with difficult questions or concerns regarding commercial real estate and C&I lending services.
  • Monitor and report on performance in relation to Commercial Lending goals.
  • Recommend proposals to expand current business for commercial real estate and C&I lending.
  • Actively participate in community and professional activities to improve or increase the Bank's business.
  • Represent the Bank to customers and the community to maintain and expand relationships through active community involvement.
  • Participate actively as a Banking Center team member, working with other members to meet performance goals and develop strategies for the Center.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or equivalent through special training in lending, credit, or related subjects.
  • Ten years of progressively responsible experience in commercial lending, including management experience.
  • Excellent analytical, operations management, organizational, and communication skills.
