POSITION OVERVIEW
Compensation Range:
$21.99/hr - $30.58/hr
This position may be filled by either a CNA1 or CNA2 candidate.
The CNA I or CNA2 plays a vital role in supporting the nursing care of patients. They provide essential comfort services and assist with daily living activities under the guidance of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
PRIMARY DUTIES
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient mobility, including lifting and transferring individuals from stretchers to beds and vice versa.
- Deliver skin care to avert breakdowns.
- Collect necessary specimens.
- Monitor and document intake, output, and food consumption.
- Record vital signs, weight, and activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Apply non-sterile dressings, binders, and compresses.
- Provide appropriate bowel care, including enemas and ostomy care.
- Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
- Offer personal hygiene assistance, including grooming and dressing.
- Engage in recreational therapy projects and assist with operating entertainment devices.
- Support in transporting patients and supplies as needed.
- Perform Basic Life Support (BLS) or other emergency duties as directed by licensed personnel.
After receiving appropriate training and competency verification, additional tasks may be assigned as specified by the nursing director.
Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills, including de-escalation techniques and handling hazardous materials.
