Job Summary

Tate Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies throughout our manufacturing departments.

This is a 2nd shift schedule of 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a forklift to move materials and supplies between receiving, manufacturing, shipping, and storage areas.
  • Control the issue and receipt of materials to production, verifying work order numbers, quantities, and status of work orders.
  • Receive incoming materials, verifying quality, quantities, and purchase orders. Apply labels according to requirements and store in proper locations.
  • Inspect and weigh coils to standards, writing coil tickets and distributing copies where needed.
  • Ensure that materials are correctly staged, clearly labeled with part numbers and quantities to ensure prompt delivery between manufacturing departments.
  • Rotate materials using older materials first, or as a manufacturing requires, utilizing the space in the plant efficiently.
  • Identify damaged materials and take appropriate action.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions, including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual.
  • Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent experience.
  • Forklift experience and prior licensing required.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to interface with a diverse workforce.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally during an 8-hour shift.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and crouch for an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts.
