The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for ensuring patient safety, pain management, and education in the post-surgical phase.
Responsibilities- Monitor and care for post-operative patients in a hospital setting.
- Oversee the direct care of patients undergoing neuro, trauma, ortho, or general surgery.
- Ensure patient safety, pain management, and education in the post-surgical phase.
- Collaborate with other patient care providers to ensure comprehensive care.
- Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members.
- Participate in patient teaching and discharge planning.
- Participate in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
- A graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
- Baccalaureate or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Current and active New Jersey RN licensure is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience with Post-Anesthesia Care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association Certification upon hire.
- Strong critical thinking/assessment skills.
- Completion of all Orientation requirements of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
- Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.
- The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification upon hire.
- Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
- ACLS/PALS upon hire or within 6 months of the start date.
- Must be I.V. certified from an approved facility or completion of requirements for I.V. certification within 90 days of hire to unit.
- Evening Shift, 2PM-12MN. 9.5 Hr. Shift.
- Part Time (20 hours per week).
- Required to work every other weekend and holiday rotations.
- On Call Required.
