**About the Job:**

This role is perfect for book lovers who enjoy sharing their knowledge with others. As a Literary Ambassador, you'll be responsible for:

• L ocating and becoming familiar with books, recommending similar authors or titles to customers
• O rganizing book placements according to operational standards and promotional priorities
• S tocking and re-facing all store items, including books, magazines, souvenirs, beverages, and snacks
• A ssisting with store cleanliness, including dusting, sweeping, and organizing merchandise
• P romptly communicating inventory issues to management
• U tilizing resources, tools, and peer knowledge to enhance training and expertise
• O perating a cash register and being proficient with computer skills
• F ollowing all Loss Prevention procedures to prevent merchandise loss and minimize shrink
• B eeing knowledgeable about the surrounding businesses within the facility
• M aintaining reliable attendance

**Required Qualifications:**

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A passion for reading and discussing books
• The ability to interact with diverse personalities and foster relationships with team members and customers
• Strong interpersonal abilities and excellent verbal communication skills
• The capacity to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds
• Prior experience in cashiering and cash handling
