Reporting directly to the Director of the BSN Program, the faculty member will be tasked with delivering specialized knowledge and conducting both theoretical and practical instruction in accordance with an established course syllabus. This role emphasizes effective teaching methodologies while fostering student engagement and satisfaction.
The faculty member will evaluate student performance throughout the course and ensure all course-related documentation is completed within the university's specified timelines.
Key Responsibilities:

Support student achievement by demonstrating flexibility in teaching style and availability, while maintaining a passion for education and student engagement.
Manage the educational environment by maintaining accurate records, submitting grades punctually, and enforcing academic and attendance standards.
Incorporate professional experiences into the curriculum by continuously developing technical skills, integrating industry insights into courses, and staying informed about professional trends and opportunities.
Participate actively in departmental meetings and governance committees.Qualifications:
A master's degree in nursing from an accredited institution, including coursework in nursing, education, or administration.
A minimum of four (4) years of continuous, full-time experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the relevant nursing specialty.
Recent direct patient care experience within the last five (5) years in the assigned nursing area.Completion of at least one (1) year of teaching experience in registered nursing courses related to Obstetrics or completion of a post-baccalaureate course that includes teaching practice is preferred.
Must possess a valid, active license from the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and hold an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Candidates should demonstrate an energetic and engaging personality suitable for both classroom and clinical instruction. Basic computer literacy and comfort with technology in educational settings are essential.- Salary is dependent on experience and education, with rates ranging from $50 to $65/hr.

Physical Demands:
The incumbent regularly sits for extended periods. Must possess the physical ability to perform assigned duties. Proficient in operating electronic keyboards and other office equipment. Effective verbal communication skills are necessary for answering phones and providing clear information. Ability to read fine print and operate computers with precision. Must be able to understand spoken communication both over the phone and in person. Capable of lifting, carrying, and/or moving objects weighing between 10-25 pounds as required.
