Carryout Attendant Job Description

At Bob Evans Restaurants, we're passionate about serving high-quality farm-fresh food to our guests. As a Carryout Attendant, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our guests receive exceptional service and a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests warmly and efficiently, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Utilize menu knowledge and situational selling techniques to provide guests with personalized recommendations.
  • Promptly and accurately package food and beverage orders, ensuring items are prepared to our high standards.
  • Communicate effectively with guests to determine their needs and provide menu suggestions.
  • Handle cash and credit transactions, accurately accounting for all receivables.
  • Practice safe food and beverage handling, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of the bakery and retail areas.
  • Effectively handle guest complaints, involving management as needed.
  • Answer phone calls using our company script, providing a friendly and efficient experience.
  • Accurately input carryout orders into our computer system.
  • Assist in expediting and delivering meals to dine-in guests.
Requirements:
  • 0-2 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in a restaurant.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Detailed-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain good organizational skills.

While performing the duties of this job, you will regularly be required to:

  • Stand for entire shifts and walk for long periods of time without rest or sitting down.

  • Have the ability to freely access all areas of the restaurant, including the selling floor(s), stock area, and register area.
