Job SummaryThe Associate Patient Care Coordinator is a critical role that provides front office support functions, ensuring seamless patient experiences and efficient clinical operations. This position is responsible for appointment scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, and other related clerical tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Greets patients, manages wait times, and completes check-in and check-out tasks, including demographic verification and insurance verification.
- Collects co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issues receipts.
- Manages the cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies.
- Answers phones, schedules appointments, and directs calls as needed.
- Manages medical records, maintains files, and prepares records for scheduling.
- Ensures all correspondence is scanned and/or filed, processes requests for medical records release, and maintains logs.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
