The Level II NDE Technician is responsible for performing Level II radiographic inspections to inspect materials, components, and structures for defects or irregularities. This includes setting up and operating radiographic equipment in accordance with safety regulations and industry standards, while producing quality radiographs. The successful candidate will also calculate, establish, and control radiation areas, adhere to quality control procedures and safety protocols, and interpret radiographic images to identify and evaluate interactions of flaws and abnormalities. Additionally, they will document test results, including writing reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections. Collaboration with management is essential to ensure that testing procedures meet project requirements. The ideal candidate will also manage long-term projects effectively and professionally, communicate with customer/client representatives and management to meet established deadlines, and participate in training programs to stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in radiographic testing.
Qualifications
Required:
- Current or previously certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A Level II RT, MT, PT, and UTT methods.
- Valid State Radiographers card or IRRSP card.
- Fluent in manual film processing.
- Familiar with applicable welding codes, i.e., ASME, API, AWS, etc.
- List of projects managed as a Level II Radiographer.
- Education history.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and able to pass Motor Vehicle History Evaluations.
- Able to pass an FBI background verification in accordance with Company's Increased Controls program.
- Required to pass Company's Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing policies/procedures; and,
- Required to pass Company's Written Practice certification process.
