We are seeking a highly skilled Field Supervisor to join our team at Communications Engineering Company. As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance of our field staff, ensuring optimal efficiency and peak performance while driving the completion of company and team goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team through cross-training, performance evaluations, compensation reviews, employee development, promotions, coaching, motivating, and dismissals.
  • Recruit and retain top talent, develop relationships with local educational institutions, and ensure accurate staffing levels for current and forecasted workload.
  • Conduct new hire employment screening, interviewing, and selecting team members who embody our company values.
  • Attend project scheduling meetings, gather feedback from the Project Management Office, and ensure compliance with company policies and processes.
  • Create and communicate clear team goals, reward and discipline employees as needed, and ensure goals align with overall company strategies.
  • Review and approve labor hours, overtime, and expenses for assigned personnel.
  • Maintain high levels of communication with stakeholders, direct and oversee field-staff resource identification and scheduling for booked and forecasted projects.
  • Perform risk analysis and risk planning, advising project leadership on potential risks to project profit margins and schedules.
  • Collaborate with the PMO and Operations groups to develop recovery plans for troubled or failing projects.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of Low Voltage experience (Fire, Security, Structured Cabling, Nurse Call, Audio Visual).
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

Other Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of communications systems, including audio, video, security, fire alarm, wireless, and data networks.
  • PC proficiency in a Windows environment, with strong working knowledge of Excel.

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Effective communication in the English language.
  • Standing, walking, climbing, sitting, and using hands and fingers.
  • Lifting objects.
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 12 feet high or be in a lift to extended heights.
  • Reaching, grasping, and carrying activities.
  • Specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Above-average intellectual ability and excellent judgment for problem-solving and trouble-shooting.
  • Typical noise level in the work environment.
  • Occasional outside activities subject to seasonal temperature fluctuations.
