APNP Hospitalist

We are seeking an experienced APNP to join our Hospitalist team at Spooner Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of nursing staff, and contributing to the development of our Hospitalist Program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional growth and development of nursing staff
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients, visitors, and employees assigned to the patient care units
- Communicate effectively with family and health professionals regarding patient care
- Provide direction to educational and teaching efforts
- Participate in facility-sponsored events as a representative of the hospital
- Contribute to an environment of high-performance expectations, mutual trust, growth, and superior service towards patients/staff
- Supervise all nursing activities related to age-specific patient care
- Evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process
- Administer nursing care to patients
- Provide patient advocacy
- Serve as a clinical resource person to nursing and other departments
- Assist in coordinating continuing education programs, continuous quality improvement programs, and quality assurance
- Serve on hospital medical staff committees as assigned
- Active Wisconsin RN License
- Eligibility to practice in the State of Wisconsin
- Certification (e.g., ANCC or AANP) as an APNP with recertification every 5 years under regulating agencies' guidelines
- Current Prescriptive Authority in Wisconsin
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Hospital Privileges
- Experience in hospital medicine
- Leadership experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
