Responsibilities:
We design and develop services and infrastructure that empower billions of Apple users.

Our team utilizes cutting-edge machine learning methodologies to enhance search relevance, ranking, query comprehension, and question-answering systems.

We create and implement robust production services and APIs capable of handling millions of queries per second, crafting a search experience that delights our users.

The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, architects large-scale systems, produces high-quality code, and contributes effectively to both legacy and new systems.

Exceptional communication skills are essential for collaborating across multiple teams.Key Qualifications:
Proficient coding abilities and a strong grasp of algorithms and data structures. 15+ years of advanced knowledge and experience in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, Java, or C++. Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working autonomously as well as collaboratively. Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including unit testing and release management.
Strong software architecture and design capabilities.
Education & Experience:
MS, Ph.D. in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.Additional Requirements:
Experience with Large Scale Distributed Systems is advantageous.
Familiarity with Machine Learning and/or Natural Language Processing is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package and is determined within a specified range.

This structure allows for growth as you develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will be influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
