Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in assisting radiologists and physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare the interventional radiology suite and equipment for procedures, ensuring optimal functionality and cleanliness.
  • Verify patient identification, medical history, and procedure details to ensure accurate and safe care.
  • Assist in positioning patients comfortably and securely on the procedure table, providing patient education and addressing any concerns.
  • Operate fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and other imaging equipment to visualize internal structures during procedures, adjusting imaging parameters to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Assist radiologists and physicians in performing interventional procedures, scrubbing procedures, and performing post-imaging manipulation of images.
  • Hand off sterile equipment and supplies to the procedural team as needed, maintaining sterile technique and adhering to infection control protocols.
  • Transfer patients safely to recovery areas and provide post-procedure care as directed, monitoring patients for any signs of complications and reporting findings to the healthcare team.
  • Document procedure details, patient responses, and any adverse events accurately in medical records.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Radiology Technician (RTT) required.
  • Additional certification in Interventional Radiology (CIIP) preferred.
  • New York State Department of Health License with intravascular contrast injection 89.4 (can add injection license upon hire).
Work Environment and Hazards

Clinical setting. Exposure Class I.

Physical Demands

Medium work: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.

Pay and Benefits

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
