Position Summary: The Logistics Material Handler II is responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within the facility, adhering to all established protocols and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Physically receive and allocate materials to designated storage areas such as production lines, warehouses, and other specified locations.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of transport vehicles for both intercompany and external shipments.
- Ensure the safe operation of material handling equipment, including but not limited to Powered Industrial Trucks, pallet jacks, and other related machinery, while conducting mandatory safety checks and following operational guidelines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the Lead Material Handlers promptly.
- Support inventory management activities, including counting, conducting physical inventories, and performing cycle counts as required.
- Consolidate stock and manage inventory levels as necessary.
- Responsible for the removal of waste and recyclables in line with facility standards, and assist in maintaining external storage areas.
- Engage in the auditing process and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, implementing 5S principles to ensure a safe working environment.
Work Environment: The role requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring that all tasks are performed in compliance with organizational standards.
