Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including physical and emotional evaluations, to identify and prioritize patient needs
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account patient preferences, values, and goals
- Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures
- Monitor and report patient progress, including changes in condition, to physicians and other healthcare professionals
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of evidence-based practices
- Provide education and support to patients and families, including health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
- Current unrestricted Mississippi State licensure as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of one (1) year of inpatient clinical experience, preferred
- Experience must be within the past five (5) years, or evidence of successful refresher program
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, as required by specialty area
The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with frequent exposure to communicable diseases and radiation. The nurse will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and use manual dexterity to perform tasks. The nurse will also be required to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
