Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED is required. Experience in woodworking, wood finishing, or auto body painting within a technical setting is preferred, along with the completion of a Technical Certificate in cabinet making. Participation in a youth apprenticeship program in the relevant field is also considered advantageous.



Position Purpose:

This role involves learning and executing fundamental skills and tasks associated with the preparation and application of finishes on aircraft cabinetry, guided by design and engineering specifications.



Job Responsibilities:

Core Functions:
Under direct supervision, the technician will acquire entry-level technical skills and knowledge, including regulatory standards and tools utilized in the Cabinet Finish department. The goal is to enhance technical proficiency and problem-solving capabilities to facilitate advancement to a technician role.

Utilizing standard safety protocols and operational procedures, as well as design and engineering documentation, tools, and materials (such as sandpaper, polishes, adhesives, solvents, and masking mediums), the technician will develop expertise in preparing and finishing furniture.



Utilize the material tracking system to generate parts demand, monitor issues, and finalize work.

Adhere to all safety, 5S, and housekeeping regulations, employ personal protective equipment, and ensure the protection of aircraft interiors (PTP). Contribute to the development and execution of related initiatives.

Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Other Requirements:
The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the English language is essential.

Candidates must be capable of climbing ladders and stairs, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 40 pounds, and adapting to various shifts. Proficiency in computer usage is required.



It is mandatory to possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
