Position Summary:
This role is crucial in ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction by performing essential tasks that support the smooth operation of the Maintenance Department. The focus is on maximizing profitability, adhering to quality standards, and delivering exceptional service. Responsibilities encompass maintenance of guest rooms, laundry facilities, public spaces, storage areas, and work environments. A high level of expertise in all facets of hotel maintenance is required.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Arrive at work punctually, dressed in uniform with a name badge, maintaining a clean and professional appearance.
2. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
3. Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing outstanding experiences for guests and colleagues.
4. Execute all tasks in accordance with hotel policies, procedures, and standards.
5. Attend daily briefings to stay informed about significant events and prepare for potential situations.
6. Conduct proactive preventative maintenance scheduling, ensuring thorough follow-up and record-keeping.
7. Oversee security, loss prevention, and life safety measures.
8. Inspect all areas including guest rooms, linen rooms, laundry facilities, and public spaces to ensure compliance with maintenance standards.
9. Ensure quality of services and accommodations meet guest expectations and hotel objectives.
10. Manage lost and found items in accordance with established procedures, coordinating with management as necessary.
11. Greet guests warmly and provide assistance as needed.
12. Report any accidents or injuries immediately.
13. Participate in scheduled meetings and training sessions as required.
14. Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures for the hotel.
15. Maintain confidentiality regarding guest information and hotel data.
16. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth departmental operations.
17. Adhere to all safety and security protocols as per established standards.
18. Perform additional tasks as directed by management.

Maintenance Tasks:
Guest Rooms: Unclogging drains, repairing plumbing and electrical systems, replacing hardware, and assisting with mattress maintenance.
Public Areas: Conduct repairs and maintenance on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Fire Safety: Monitor fire alarm systems and respond to emergencies involving these systems.
Energy Conservation: Observe and report on energy usage, suggesting conservation methods to management.
Tools Management: Clean and maintain all equipment, ensuring proper storage and inventory.
Emergency Response: Be available for emergencies, acting swiftly to protect guests and staff while preserving property.
Safety and Accident Prevention: Maintain a safe working environment and address any hazardous conditions immediately.
Record Keeping: Log daily activities and issues, ensuring effective communication with management.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
Must be capable of standing for extended periods, walking, and lifting up to 100 lbs. Must possess the physical ability to bend, reach, kneel, and manipulate equipment as necessary.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Prior maintenance experience is essential.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Effective organizational and planning abilities to manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
