Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing quality care to our patients and a passion for delivering exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Evaluate patients' level of functioning and hearing, and recommend mechanisms to enhance their hearing ability.
- Provide initial and ongoing comprehensive assessments of patients' needs, including OASIS assessments.
- Establish a Speech Therapy treatment plan in consultation with the physician and revise it as necessary.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the interdisciplinary client care plan as it pertains to Speech Therapy.
- Communicate with other team members and instruct them in speech pathology techniques as needed.
- Teach, supervise, and counsel patients and their families in the total Speech Therapy program and other related problems.
- Record all evaluation data, treatments, and patients' responses to therapeutic intervention in a timely manner.
- Supervise Home Health Aides as needed and record their interactions with patients.
- Report patients' reactions to treatment and any changes in their condition to the physician.
- Participate in the development of periodic revisions to the physician's plan of treatment.
- Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program or equivalent education.
- Licensed in the State of Florida as a Speech Therapist.
- Two years of clinical experience as a Speech Therapist.
- Current BLS Certification.
- Licensed driver with an automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization's requirements.
