Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Literacy Specialist to join our team at Davenport Community Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing coaching and support to teachers to improve student literacy outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coaching and Support: Provide coaching and support to teachers to improve their instructional practices and student literacy outcomes.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Professional Development: Provide professional development opportunities for teachers to improve their literacy skills and knowledge.
  • Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of literacy initiatives and programs.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure that literacy initiatives are aligned with district goals.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: A Master's degree in Reading or a related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience is required.
  • Skills: Strong literacy background, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to analyze data and develop strategies to improve student outcomes.
Working Conditions
