Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Associate to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a Meat Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process meat deliveries, including breaking down loads and rotating cooler stock.
  • Weigh, price, and label meat products for sale.
  • Stock meat cases and select products for display.
  • Prepare valued-added meat products, such as cuts and special orders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to sanitation and food safety standards.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to read, communicate, and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
  • Must be able to work in a cold environment.
Physical Requirements
  • Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending on business needs.
  • Job cycles: continual maximum.
  • Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
  • Category IV: Lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
  • Max pull static: 20 lbs.
