We are committed to delivering electricity to 1.2 million electric customers and 812,000 natural gas customers across more than 1,200 communities in central and southern Illinois.


Key Responsibilities:
Under direct but not constant supervision, perform a comprehensive range of overhead line construction and maintenance tasks on electrical transmission, sub-transmission, distribution, or service systems. This includes working on lines that may be either de-energized or energized, across all voltage levels, and executing similar or less skilled tasks as necessary.

Required Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must have successfully completed A.L.B.A.T. (American Line Builders Apprentice Training) or an equivalent lineman training program.

Additionally, candidates should possess a High School diploma or equivalent and hold or be able to obtain a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.

As a condition of employment, qualified candidates will be required to pass the relevant State/Federal driver's licensing requirements, medical examinations, drug screenings, and the Construction and Skilled Trades (CAST) test. This position is governed by the IBEW bargaining agreement.

Residency Requirement:
This position mandates a 25-mile residency requirement.
