Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist

Norman Regional Health System is a community hospital system nestled at the Southern border of the Oklahoma City metro area. We have an innovative cardiovascular program and are looking for a skilled Registered Technologist to expand our team.
About the JobWe are seeking a Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist to join our team at Norman Regional Health System. In this role, you will play a vital part in preparing and maintaining medical equipment, assessing patient conditions, and ensuring a sterile environment during procedures. You will also serve as a preceptor for new hires, emphasizing strong teamwork with cardiologists and leadership to deliver excellent patient care.
Responsibilities- Prepares equipment before and during procedures to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition, prepares, positions, and provides patient care to meet individual needs.
- Maintains a sterile environment throughout procedures to prevent contamination and infection.
- Serves as a preceptor for new hires and radiology students, providing guidance and training on best practices and departmental policies.
- Participates in the orientation of new staff, promoting a smooth transition into their roles.
- Uses downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and completing delegated tasks assigned by Charge person or manager.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiographic Program or Cardiovascular Program.
- Registration as a Radiographer with the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) or Registration from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCIS).
- One year of experience working in a Cath Lab is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.

- A starting salary of $27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package designed to attract and retain top talent. The estimated annual salary for this position is $57,419-$94,371, depending on experience.
