Hospitalist Physician

UVA Health is seeking an experienced Nocturnist Hospitalist to join our growing team at Culpeper Medical Center. As a key member of our inpatient care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Overview:
Culpeper Medical Center proudly serves the northern Virginia community through an integrated network of inpatient and outpatient services. Our hospital is a 70-bed, community hospital that offers a range of medical specialties, including emergency medicine, surgery, and obstetrics and gynecology. About the Role:
This is a full-time opportunity for a board-certified or eligible internal medicine or family medicine physician who has completed a fellowship program in hospital medicine. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a nocturnist in a hospital setting and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be responsible for providing inpatient care to adult patients, managing their conditions, and ensuring they receive appropriate treatment and follow-up care.

Responsibilities:
* Provide inpatient care to adult patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
* Manage patient conditions, including chronic diseases, acute illnesses, and injuries
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, pharmacists, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive care
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet each patient's unique needs and goals
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and education programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and improve patient outcomes

Qualifications:
* Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or family medicine
* Completion of a fellowship program in hospital medicine (or equivalent experience)
* Current medical license in Virginia
* DEA license required
