AB Staffing Solutions is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in corrections, psychiatric, or related nursing for a contract opportunity in Delta, CO and surrounding areas.

As a Correctional LPN, you will play a vital role in providing healthcare services to inmates within a correctional facility. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks, including:

Responsibilities:
  • Conducting patient examinations, evaluating treatment responses, and monitoring progress.
  • Providing mental health and emotional support to inmates, and referring them to appropriate resources when necessary.
  • Assisting physicians and Registered Nurses (RNs) with examinations and treatments.
  • Participating in sick call procedures with a physician to assess inmate health concerns.
  • Preparing inmates for examinations, ensuring exam rooms are properly equipped.
  • Administering medications, dispensing prescriptions, and maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Managing medication inventory and syringes according to established protocols.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in psychiatric, correctional, or a related nursing setting.
  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing within Colorado or a multi-state compact.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Successful completion of a background check upon hire.
