Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Prep Cook to join our culinary team at Compass Group Careers. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food products in accordance with our company's standards and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain daily production schedules and preparation requirements from the Executive Chef.
  • Prepare food items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
  • Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets, ensuring quality control.
  • Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
  • Store, label, and date all food items according to policy, adhering to HACCP guidelines.
  • Complete all required documentation, reports, and logs as necessary.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
  • Take orders from customers and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
  • Serve customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
  • Complete orders from steam tables and grill, serving customers at multiple stations.
  • Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
Requirements
  • Previous kitchen experience is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
