Financial Analyst Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team in Decatur or Birmingham, AL. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial and management reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting support to our designated region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with purchasing and inventory management
  • Perform operational benchmarking and monthly performance analysis
  • Conduct special projects and ad-hoc report requests related to sales, purchasing, working capital, and operating expenses
  • Analyze plant and division balance sheet accounts
  • Maintain internal controls and create and post journal entries
  • Perform month-end close
Requirements:
  • 2 years of accounting experience with a focus on journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience with SAP and advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Power BI and creating Macros in Excel
