Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopedic Care Specialist to join our team at Resurgens Orthopaedics. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complete physical exams, pre-operative and post-operative evaluations, and record findings.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies, establish a diagnosis, and determine a treatment plan.
  • Implement necessary ancillaries, order additional studies or laboratory evaluations, and consult with specialists as needed.
  • Assist in reduction of fractures and dislocations, provide minor office surgical care, and apply and remove casts, splints, and immobilizing devices.
  • Administer injections, immunizations, oral medications, and provide patient education on medications and treatment instructions.
  • Prepare written prescription orders for drugs and controlled substances, and authorize prescription refills.
  • Assist physicians in the application of specialized orthopedic devices, fit and measure for braces and orthopedic devices, and instruct patients on their use.
  • Record patient progress notes, transcribe orders, and provide monitoring and continuity of care.
  • Triage patient telephone calls, answer questions, and provide consultation and education to patients and their representatives.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and active licenses and certifications.
  • Excellent customer service skills, demonstrated conflict management skills, and strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Operating room experience preferred.
