Electrical Engineer - Controls

Selectek is partnering with a company in Gadsden, Alabama to find an Electrical Engineer with expertise in control systems.

This company specializes in designing and constructing materials-handling conveyor equipment, requiring candidates to design control panels and program PLCs for machinery.

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
  • Four years of experience in a relevant field
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical software
  • Experience with PLC/HMI Programming software
  • Ideal candidates have experience with design and integration of robotics or SCADA equipment

In addition to these requirements, candidates must hold United States citizenship, as per the client's request. Selectek cannot provide sponsorship or work visa documentation.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Design and develop electrical controls systems for in-house built material handling equipment
  • Prepare scopes of work and maintain bills of material
  • Program and commission PLC and HMI hardware and software controls for equipment
  • Travel to customer facilities for installation and startup of equipment
  • Troubleshoot and investigate equipment failures as needed
