Job Summary and Responsibilities:
As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room, you will be responsible for the triage, assessment, and treatment of patients of all ages seeking emergency care. Our team is dedicated to delivering timely and compassionate care for patients facing emergency and life-threatening conditions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Documenting nursing notes to reflect changes in patient condition, transfers, and discharges.
  • Administering medications per physician orders.
  • Responding to and managing incoming calls, including phone triage when necessary.
  • Understanding and managing all care zones, including triage, rapid treatment, pediatric ER, trauma, and behavioral health.
  • Coordinating and triaging incoming ambulance traffic.
  • Collaborating with the primary ED attending physician.
  • Utilizing the Emergency Severity Index 5-level triage algorithm.
  • Responding to critical needs and serving as a resource nurse for trauma cases.
  • Educating patients and their families about medications, procedures, and treatments.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the practicing state or possession of an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification preferred, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
  • Previous experience in emergency, pre-hospital, or critical care nursing is preferred.
