We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Healthcare Support Technician. Your skills and professionalism are essential at our Convenience Care office to deliver support and administrative services. This role may require up to 20% travel for training and coverage at nearby facilities as necessary.
This position is scheduled for 30 hours per week during operational hours: Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 8 PM, and Saturday & Sunday from 8 AM to 2 PM, with a rotating weekend schedule.

Key Responsibilities of the Healthcare Support Technician:
- Engage in effective communication (both verbal and written) and consultation with all center personnel, clients, and the public, while maintaining a professional, customer-oriented environment.
- Manage incoming phone calls, schedule and reschedule appointments for primary care and behavioral health providers, and take messages or route them to the appropriate extension.
- Handle patient co-pays and payments during registration, along with general cashier responsibilities.
- Retrieve medical records from external providers and create medical record charts for new patients, ensuring compliance with release of information procedures according to Meridian policies.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Two years of secretarial or office experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in computer usage and the ability to perform data entry and telephone duties.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- A valid driver's license, a driving record that meets Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance are required.
