Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Kutztown. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ionizing radiation and related diagnostic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic examinations, electrocardiography (EKG), pacemaker checks, and holter monitoring examinations as ordered by attending physicians in accordance with established protocols.
  • Prepare requisitions and patient histories, including study performed, number of views, physician, and insurance information, and contact referring physicians when required.
  • Coordinate with other staff to ensure appropriate patient care is provided.
  • Address problems of patient care as they arise and make decisions to appropriately resolve the problems.
  • Organize daily work schedules and perform related clerical duties as required.
  • Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients while examinations are being performed.
  • Follow the As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) principles for radiation safety.
  • Maintain assigned equipment and vehicles in proper working order.
  • Report equipment failures to the appropriate supervisor.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a formal Radiologic Technology Program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Active certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in the specialty(ies).
  • Active licensure with the individual state Department of Health if required by law.
  • Current compliance with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.
