Position Overview:


Dental Care Alliance is seeking a dedicated full-time Orthodontic Clinical Assistant to join our team in a pediatric-focused environment.

Candidates with previous orthodontic assisting experience are preferred; however, recent graduates from accredited dental programs are welcome to apply. We provide comprehensive benefits, paid time off, and holiday pay.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare treatment areas for patient care by adhering to established protocols and procedures.

2. Welcome and prepare patients for treatment by providing comfort and ensuring they are properly seated and draped.

3. Address inquiries from patients and staff by providing accurate information and assistance.

4. Ensure the availability of sterilized instruments by preparing and delivering them to the treatment area; assist in maintaining instrument accessibility for the dentist.

5. Manage materials by selecting, mixing, and applying them as needed during procedures.

6. Contribute to diagnostic processes by taking and processing radiographic images, as well as preparing study casts.

7. Support patient functionality by creating temporary restorations and maintaining removable appliances.


8. Assist in emergency situations by maintaining CPR certification and ensuring emergency supplies are readily available.

Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, plaque control, and post-treatment care.

9. Document all dental services provided by accurately charting in patient records.

10. Uphold patient confidentiality and protect sensitive information by following privacy protocols.

11. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to established health and safety regulations.

12. Protect patients and staff by following infection control policies and procedures.

13. Optimize resource use by utilizing equipment and supplies efficiently to achieve desired outcomes.

14. Enhance professional knowledge by participating in educational workshops, reviewing relevant literature, and engaging with professional networks.

15. Collaborate with team members to achieve common goals and support overall operations.

16. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:
Experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or completion of a formal Dental Assistant training program.
