Job Title: Front Receptionist

Job Summary:

Bullhook Community Health Center is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Front Receptionist to join our team. As a Front Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering Phone Calls: Respond to all incoming phone calls in a timely and professional manner, creating telephone counters in our electronic health record system as needed.
  • Scheduling Appointments: Schedule appointments for medical, dental, nurse, lab, and behavioral health visits, ensuring that patients are seen in a timely manner.
  • Managing Patient Information: Enter all new patient information directly into our electronic health record system, verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Rescheduling No-Shows: Reschedule appointments for patients who fail to show up for their scheduled appointments.
  • Confirming Appointments: Use our electronic health record system to send confirmation calls to patients 2 days prior to their scheduled appointments.
  • Verifying Patient Information: Verify patient information, including income verification and insurance eligibility, to ensure accurate billing and payment.
  • Collecting Payments: Collect payments from patients for office visits, creating payment plans as needed.
  • Performing Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including scanning documents, creating PT-ROA for patient payment batches, and reconciling cash drawers.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our clinical and non-clinical staff to provide exceptional patient care and achieve our organization's goals.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working in a primary health care setting and with electronic health record systems is preferred.

Working Conditions:

This position is performed in an office and clinic setting, requiring the ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. The position also requires the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and to work in a fast-paced environment.
