  • Perform environmental services duties in an effective and efficient manner, completing all steps in the 7-Step Cleaning Process.
  • Perform assigned duties according to quality standards to ensure a clean and comfortable environment.
  • Keep cleaning carts, equipment, and storage areas clean and organized.
  • Responsible for positive interactions with patients, families, visitors, and other employees.
  • Provide assistance to individuals as needed or find the appropriate person to provide assistance.
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, following manufacturer standards.
  • Clean offices, patient rooms, classrooms, common areas, restrooms, hallways, food service areas, and other areas as needed.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways, stairs, and office spaces.
  • Clean light fixtures, ceilings, vents, walls, mattresses, furniture, windows, and window coverings.
  • Empty trash and garbage containers and transport waste to the outside compactor.
  • Replenish supplies and materials.
  • Move furniture and set up tables and chairs.
  • Notify leaders of any maintenance, repair, or addition needs.
  • Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
  • Report accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments.
  • Apply OSHA and local safety requirements to all assigned work.
  • Attend required training programs and complete assigned training within the allotted time.
  • Transport and package regulated medical waste and chemotherapy waste.
  • Change cubicle curtains and shower curtains.
Requirements
  • High School Equivalent or GED (Preferred)
  • 1+ years of cleaning experience (Preferred)
  • Experience in a hospital setting (Preferred)
