VieMed Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Part-Time Nurse Practitioner to provide primary care services in a correctional healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide independent primary care to non-emergency patients under indirect supervision.
- Perform medical examinations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up consultation, and health education.
- Develop patient care treatment plans using the POMR format.
- Supervise and/or coordinate patient care and/or support staff activities.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions.
- Prescribe medications and other treatments.
- Participate in planning health programs and developing specific health policies and procedures.
- Current license as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Current CPR certification, ACLS certification preferred.
- Two (2) years of experience as a NP.
- Proficient with electronic medical records.
- Ability to pass pre-employment Level 2 clearance, including background check and drug screen.
This is a part-time opportunity requiring a half-day commitment per week.
