Manufacturing Assembly Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Assembly Engineer to join our team at OME Inc.

Job Summary:

This role involves performing a wide range of mechanical assembly operations, from production components to complex projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, modifying, reworking, and/or reassembling production components using drawings, process documentation, and/or verbal instructions.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing skilled repetitive mechanical assembly operations in support of production projects
  • Preparing and utilizing basic hand tools and machines, including power screwdrivers, rulers, solder irons, clamp machines, heat guns, vises, solder pots, crimpers, pinning machines, and automatic wire strippers
  • Identifying wires using the basic color code sequence
  • Participating in first-time production runs of new products
  • Supporting cycle count activity, inventory handling, and inventory transactions following established material procedures
  • Participating in continuous improvement and team-building activities, maintaining productive working relationships with all team members

Requirements:

  • One to two years of related experience or equivalent
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination
  • Ability to identify colors
  • Ability to read and understand work instructions and assembly drawings
  • Familiarity with various mechanical and electrical measuring equipment
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary

Estimated Salary: $58,000 per year.
