About the Role

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images, ensuring optimal patient care and safety.
  • Screen patients and staff for magnet safety, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Perform procedures proficiently, maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to scanning protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of exams.
  • Prepare scan rooms, discarding sharps and maintaining supplies and linen.
  • Administer contrast materials as prescribed by physicians or approved Radiology protocols.
  • Implement emergency procedures as needed, staying calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Enter and record data accurately and promptly, utilizing department and hospital computer systems.
  • Exhibit competency in quality control tasks, ensuring equipment and procedures meet standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with organizational, affiliate, and departmental changes, checking email on each shift.
  • Provide clinical instruction to staff technologists and students, preparing schedules and coordinating daily workflow as needed.

Requirements

  • Certification in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program.
  • ARRT registration in Radiology & MRI, or MRI, or ARMRIT certification.
  • BLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge of office equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills (database).
  • Data entry.
  • Mathematical skills.

Work Environment

Variable shifts, working in a fast-paced diagnostic imaging environment.
